Brands Owned by Estée Lauder Company -

It’s 3am and I find myself having a deep dive research into beauty brands parent companies and I came across the Estée Lauder Comoany website and decided to see what brands they actually own/have acquired and it was this was super surprising and rather interesting to see just how many brands they have acquired and have under their umbrella these days. Let’s get into it.

All these brands are owned under the Estée Lauder brand, who currently still test on animals. Although some of these brands, in their own right are CRUELTY FREE, Estée Lauder (the parent company) is not! This is a debate a lot of cruelty free creators have 〰️ whether to support brand with a parent company that requires tests or not.

I am aware that some people choose not to support parent company brands. I personally do support these brands, as I believe it is a step in the right direction for brands and it shows support for the cruelty free movement, but I completely understand why some people would not want to answer I completely support that.

The cruelty free brands owned by Estée Lauder are;

Bumble and Bumble
Aveda
The Ordinary (was recently acquired and did cause a bit of a stir in the beauty world)
NIOD ~ I believe these are part of the DECIEM umbrella which The Ordinary too.
Too Faced

These brands have managed to keep their cruelty free status due to not selling in China where all imported cosmetics are required by law to be go through post market animal testing before being sold. This is still an ongoing practice and brands that claim they are ‘cruelty free’ and sell in mainland China should not be trusted as being so.

Did you know about any of these brands? Some were definitely a surprise to me! I didn’t realise how many brands they have acquired now.
