I’ve discovered a new love for anything that stains, and by that I mean cheek stain, lip stain, brow stain, but specifically cheek stains, as I love a good blush and I am that girl that has blush blindness. If I’m doing a full make-up look, I love to just go ham with the blush. I love it. I think it really completes a look and just gives your skin some life.
“I am that girl who has blush blindness, and honestly, I’m not mad about it.”
So recently, I discovered the e.l.f. Cosmetics Sheer For It Blush Tint. So I guess this sort of staining goes back to early 2010s time, where the Benefit Cosmetics Benetint was viral before virality was even a thing. But obviously, Benefit, it wasn’t cruelty free then. They are actually now, so I would love to try that, but this is kind of that situation, like a really watery tint.

When you apply, it is very liquidy, so you have to be very careful because it does, it does stain stain! So I just put a little bit and build it up. It’s easier to build it up instead of putting a lot on straight off.
that’s cherry coloured flush
So I have the shade Cherry Cola, which is sheer Black Cherry shade which is perfect for getting that sort of fake sunburn sun-blush look that’s trending at the moment. I think it looks really pretty and gives skin a really natural flush of colour. It’s not super red like you think a cherry cola would be, but it’s got like that sort of dark cherry red tone to it, which I think is really pretty.
I love to apply this with a really hydrated base. So either if I’m gonna make up for you, have a really hydrating moisturiser or tinted moisturiser on, or a dewy foundation. I don’t think this would work very well over a matte foundation, as when you do apply a dust stain very quickly, you have to work super quick.

If you are wanting to get more pigment out of the blush – you do it in layers. So apply it, blend, apply it, blend, and it works out really well, and it lasts all day. It’s absolutely brilliant. I’d highly recommend trying these out.

the monochromatic moment
They are just £6 and they have quite a few different shades in this now, and this shade is going be perfect any time of year. This also doubles as a lip stain as well, it is great to use as a base and then pop a gloss on top, or just use it as a little flush of colour to have a monochromatic look with your cheeks, which I think is really pretty. We love a monochromatic moment over here.

would i recommend it?
Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this product and how you got on with it. I have had some feedback on some people saying it’s really difficult to blend, but I do think it’s really highly dependent on what kind of base that you have on, so I would recommend using a dewy, hydrating base if you’re going to be using a cheek stain.
