If you are anything like me and get very stressed/anxious about a lot of things in life (ok everything!) it’s really important to take some time out to relax, unwind and take a step back and practice some selfcare.
There are a few things below that I do to relax, which really help me with my anxiety and get me back on track!
I love a Selfcare Sunday and I really believe that everyone should take some time out to practice some self care as it’s so good for your mental health to have that “You” time.
have a bath
This is one of my favourite things to do to relax. I love shutting the bathroom door settling into a huge bubble bath or essential oils and just switching off for 20 minute or so.
Sometimes I like to bring in a coffee or tea with me and light some candles if I’m in need of some deep relaxation. I tend to shower everyday and have a nice bath on Friday and Sunday nights! I’m such a routine gal!

use a face mask
Nothing beats a classic good old face mask to pamper, unwind and relax! My personal favourites are mud masks, as I find them so relaxing, you can just chill whilst they are doing this business! Add cucumbers for extra relaxation and remember these are perfect for a selfcare session on Sundays before work!

paint your nails
Painting my nails is so therapeutic for me. I love to sit down in my living room, whack a YouTube video on and paint my toenails! I have to have paint on my toenails all year, but I don’t often paint my nails as I’m so clumsy I chip them instantly!
Recently I have been really enjoying experimenting with colours and designs, I’ve just started to do some nail art in my toenails and it’s so much fun and a great way to does face a chilled Sunday evening.

play online games
I have really been enjoying playing quick and easy online games recently, especially to switch off from the stresses of the work day and have a little fun. My game of choice recently has been Solitaire, I used to play this game with my family when I was younger so it’s super nostalgic and it’s great to be able to play online for free. https://www.solitaire.org have many games you can play online, not just Solitaire, a few of my favours are Majong Games, Spider and Pyramid, they are all really fun to play, FREE and a great way to switch off your brain for a while. What’s your favourite card game to play?

go for a walk
Obviously this is weather dependant. But at the moment won’t be gorg weather it’s so nice to go out and enjoy the fresh air – admittedly this is something I really need to do more & I’m working on that. Once I am outside I want to just explore and really enjoy being out and about.
I am lucky enough to live by the sea so that’s always somewhere I love to go to relax, especially in the evenings, it’s so so peaceful to listen the sea.

I love these suggestions. All great ways to relax. I painted my nails the other day for the first time in ages and it really helped! A good book also helps me to relax, when I get the time to read.
Painting my nails helps so much, and a face mask and bubble bath, then fresh clean sheets, awwww perfect!
I always feel refreshed and happier after a soak in my tub or hot tub, if the weather permits, and love adding bath salts or bath bombs to the water. Love that going for a walk or painting your nails helps you unwind; I find both those activities help me focus more too. 🙂
Thanks for sharing!
Awe I would absolutely love a hot tub, sounds so relaxing! Also doing my makeup relaxes me a lot and learning new creative photography ideas. 😊
