It’s a Rhode Summer: Pocket Blush in Toasted Teddy Review

It’s heatwave central here in the UK at the moment, and honestly, makeup is the last thing I want to be applying – especially under my studio lights. That’s an absolute no-go right now. But once the weather decides to calm down a little, I know I’ll be reaching for makeup again.

I have to admit, this summer might end up being a bit of a Rhode summer. I don’t own many products from the brand yet – just one of their Pocket Blushes and a limited-edition Cinnamon Roll Peptide Lip Treatment – but I’ve been seriously impressed so far.

I absolutely love the Pocket Blush shade I have, which is Toasted Teddy. It’s an iconic warm-toned blush that gives the skin a beautiful sun-kissed, naturally flushed look. If you’re someone who prefers minimal makeup, this is the perfect product. Even on days when I’m only wearing moisturiser, adding a little Toasted Teddy instantly brings warmth and life back into my complexion.

The colour can look quite intimidating when you first apply it because it appears fairly deep in the stick. However, once blended out, it melts seamlessly into the skin and creates the most gorgeous natural finish. It’s one of those products that looks effortless while still making a noticeable difference.

I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and pick up a few more shades from the Rhode Pocket Blush range. The shade Piggy has really caught my eye – a cute bubblegum pink that looks perfect for the summer season.

I’d also love to try more shades of the Peptide Lip Treatment. The formula is incredibly smooth, glossy, and comfortable to wear. That said, the blushes are the standout products for me. I genuinely think they’re perfection.

The packaging is adorable too. It’s quite chunky, but somehow that just works. Everything feels modern, aesthetic, and fun to use. Rhode has absolutely nailed the branding.

Have you tried any Rhode products yet? I’m still yet to try any of the skincare range, but the Glazing Milk is definitely calling my name. It sounds exactly like the kind of hydrating skincare product I gravitate towards. I’m also really intrigued by the eye patches, which look super cute and practical.
