I recently discovered the incredible Katie Jane Hughes on instagram, she is a makeup artist and she has her own weekly series where she shares a makeup/eye look with her followers to recreate. I think this is such a great idea, and really helps broaden my creativity when it comes to makeup. She also shares some awesome makeup and skincare tips, she is crazy talented and i really recommend you give her a follow, if you aren’t already.
Each week Katie’s picks a few of her favourite looks and shares them along with her look, I have found so many other makeup enthusiasts through the #kjhacademy, which is what everyone will use when they recreate the look, its making instagram fun again, and give us something to look forward to each week, especially during these times, its so nice to have a little escape, even if it is only for an hour creating an eye look.
Here is the look for this week, it was a grungey, silvery glittery look. I have to admit I am not great at working with darker eyeshadows, especially black, it tends to end up all over my face, if im not careful, i think i managed to pull it off pretty well this time, it really helped following Katies tutorial, which she does over her instagram stories, as she show you exactly how to blend.
I replaced the products Katie used with what I own already and all the products used are cruelty free.
What do you think?
