Refillable, Natural Scentered Aromatherapy Candles

As someone who is trying their very best to make sustainable and eco friendly changes around our, there has been a lot I have been switching around recently. There are lots of affordable, small changes you can make to be that but more sustainable, and they don’t have to BIG lifestyle changes.

I regularly reuse packaging myself, whenever I send items in the post, I always reuse Jiffy bags or boxes, I keep my spares in a cupboard in the kitchen, its a great, simple way to reduce waste.

You are able to buy candles as singles or within a set, all candles are completely reuse-able and refillable, so you can mix and match your scent, just swap over the candle and place the new one in your reuse-able glass holder. Scentered candle refills are supplied in minimal, compostable packaging to reduce single use purchasing. Every scent is available as a refill.

how to reuse your candle glass

To reuse your candle glass with the candle refill: pop the cold burned candle and glass in your freezer overnight. Gently pop out the remaining wax, you can use a spatula or any long implement for this, Wash and dry the glass thoroughly. Remove the refill from its packaging and simply place into your glass.

*Note* As with all candles, make sure to trim the wick to I cm before lighting it. Allow the surface wax to melt to the edge of the glass, this will establish a good “memory burn” and prevent your candle from the dreaded tunnelling.

At the moment I am using the Sleep Well candle (I also have a refill ready to go) which has a gorgeous aroma of floral lavender, Chamomile, Palmarosa and Ho Wood, it also has Patchouli, Clove and Ylang Ylang heart which brings a modern oriental twist.

Lavender is one of my favourite fragrances and from someone who suffers with insomnia I can attest to how well this candle works to relax and ease the mind.

For a single aromatherapy candle the price is, £32.95, this candle has a burn time of 35 hours – thats less than £1 per hour burn, I think that is a pretty darn good deal, also considering as you are getting all those glorious natural ingredients and the option to reuse the glass.
