i am very excited to share this bracelet with you guys, not only do i love it, but its extremely personal to myself and Jak. Life Less ordinary make ethical vegan tagua nut bracelets (vegetable ivory), they are based in Brighton and the owners love of travel inspired them to create unique personalised jewellery to capture precious memories in time.
What is Tagua nut?
The Tagua nut (pronounced Ta- qwa or Tah-gwa) or otherwise known as vegetable ivory comes from a genus of palm trees known as Phytelephas Macrocarpa that are indigenous to the tropical regions of South America. (source; https://store.palmacollection.com › pages › all-about-tagua)
my bracelet choice
When asked if i wanted to collaborate with the brand, i was asked what coordinates i would like on my bracelet and what colour band. I naturally chose the happiest day of my life – so far and that was mine and Jak’s engagement, which took place at a fancy hotel in Devon – so off i went to google to coordinates and have then engraved.
For my bracelet i choose a black band, as i felt that this would go with most clothing i wear, but there is a wide choice of colours to choose from – Burgundy, Black, Chestnut, Brown, Green and turquoise – you can even choose a combination of two colours if you wish. All of the bracelets (and anklets) are adjustable to most wrist/ankle sizes for comfort and the band is made from comfortable and durable waxed cotton.

Life Less ordinary not only engrave coordinates but they have the ability and skills to engrave anything you would like on your personalised bracelet, i have even seen a Childs signature handwriting “mummy” engraved into a bracelet – which such a cute idea.
There are also some premade designs to choose from including a wave, a beetle van, mountain and lotus flower. Also available are cufflinks – which would make the perfect gift for a groom and anklets for all the hippy chicks out there.
prices
i have to say that the Bracelets are very reasonably priced, especially considering the work and design that goes into creting each one.
You can pick up a premade design for £14 the personalised coordinates bracelets are £19 signature handwriting bracelets are £21 cufflinks are £25 for a pair, cat earrings currently available online are £9 and an uber cute geometric cat necklace is £12 (im kind of tempted by the one) ~ I hope you agree that these are such great prices for ethical, fairtrade jewellery. Everything is handmade for you personally and the quality is amazing, i have been wearing my bracelet everyday and i love it! suits my style perfectly.

Another great thing about this small company is that the company donate 10% off all profits to charity which is ‘Indigo Volunteers’; the world’s first fee-free organisation that recruits volunteers and connects them with humanitarian projects across the globe.
this is definitely a brand to look out for, not only do they make amazing, high quality jewellery they are passionate about travel and protecting our planet. which is so important. i love how everything that is made is cruelty free, vegen, ethical and fairtrade, even down to their business cards.
Will you be picking up a Life Less Ordinary bracelet or anklet?
