Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer

I am sure you have all read about this Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer already and have probably tried it. But I wanted to put my 2 cents in to discuss how I feel about all the hype around this supposed dupe for the Tart Shape Tape (which I also own and is bloody amazing! – enough about that one though). So, how does this perform? Is it hype worthy? I am not going to be doing a comparison to the Shape Tape, I just want to review this as a stand-alone product.

Company Claims

The concealer for everyone. 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes.

Application, Finish and, Lasting Power

The concealer comes with a large doe foot applicator (reminiscent of another similar product! – I’m sure you know which one I am talking about by now) which makes applying the concealer super easy and quick, I only use a couple if dabs under my eyes, and then use again to spot conceal and highlight. Its really is very pigmented and does cover a lot of my blemishes and under eyes… I do still have to use another concealer to get FULL FULL coverage near the inner corner of my eyes, as this is where I suffer with the darkest colour! I have the shades C1 and C2, which are the two lightest shades available, I do find myself using the C2 shade more often.

To apply the concealer, I use a damp beauty blender and then blend, which I have found to be the best way (for me personally). The staying power of this concealer is fantastic, I used a loose setting powder under the eyes and it does not budge or crease throughout the day, which is a winner for me, as there’s nothing worth that getting creases under your eyes… I hate that!

The only downside I can mention is that it is a small tube, but it is only £4 so won’t break the bank if you need to repurchase quickly.

The Verdict

Overall I think this is an amazing concealer and for only £4 it is an absolute bargain!.. it would be good to stock up on this, as a lot of the lighter shades sell out pretty darn quick. I have had this concealer from the launch date and I do find myself reaching for it more than other concealers, as it is so quick and easy to apply.
