As it’s coming up to summer and the weather is getting warmer, I always love to swap and change my skincare and make up routines to fit in with the changing of the weather. Usually I reach for more lightweight and glowy products, choosing skin tints over foundations.

I recently rediscovered my love for bareMinerals. I haven’t used any of their products for years, when they reached out to send me some products to try I was intrigued, as I remember the little pots of mineral foundations and blushers back in the day. But oh how have they changed since then. They have so many beautiful products and this Gen Nude Highlighting Blush is definitely one of standout products for me!

formula
The formula is so soft and feels almost like a creamy powder, it is a hybrid highlighter and blush and it instantly melts into the skin without enhancing any texture. I applied this on bare skin as I wanted to see how it performs, plus I was having a mini breakout so it’s a good test to see if it make the redness worse. It didn’t, my skin was so glowy and had a natural, healthy sheen to it.
mauve glow
The shade ‘Mauve Glow’ is a really unique shade it’s quite cool toned, but has a hint of orangey rosey tones also, I think this shade would suit most skin tones. It has the most beautiful metallic sheen running through it and is very pigmented, you don’t need to use much to achieve that ‘lit from within’ glow. The perfect one step glow for summer.
