Hi guys, I cannot wait to share with you this amazing brand I recently discovered, Aurora Violet Cosmetics are a fairly new brand themselves and I am extremely honoured to be working with them.
Are you a brush or sponge person? Or maybe both? Personally I like a bit of both, brush the foundation on and then pounce it in with a beauty sponge. I’ve tried my fair share of beauty sponges in the past, and it’s hard to find the right balance between being too hard or too soft that it soaks everything up. This is where the Aurora Violets beauty sponge comes into play.

First things first, can we just talk about the visual aspect of the Unicorn Marble sponge. This beauty sponge is decorated in an absolutely STUNNING baby pink and blue marble design with an embossed logo on the front, it’s so gorgeous and very unique, it’s extremely aesthetically pleasing and I’ve never seen a sponge quite like it. I’ve got to say the sponges do look great and are currently taking pride of place on my vanity! The sponges also come in 3 other plain colours ~ baby blue, sunset violet and cherry powder.
These sponges are breathable, Latex, cruelty free and vegan!
performance
Now to the shape and performance of the sponge, it has a great flat surface on the top of the sponge, which is perfect for getting right into the corners of your nose or inner corner of your eye. The main surface of the sponge is flat which can be used to cover large surface areas such as cheeks and forehead and finally there is a rounded bottom, which is great blusher, chin and neck use. All these combined make for some expert makeup application. One thing that can put me off is a hard sponge and the texture of this sponge is not too soft and not too hard, it gains a lot of size when dampened and does not soak up a lot of product due to the density, which I find a lot of beauty sponges tend to do, which is slightly annoying as it then wastes a lot of your product. The sponge leaves skin looking soft, smooth, flawless.

Oh wow, they are beautiful! They would definitely be the sponges that you keep on top of washing them to keep them looking so pretty! Do they wash okay? I think I might have to add them to my next amazon order!

So cute aren’t they. I clean my sponges straight after using, so they stay pretty clean. But you can always pop them in the washer 🙂 xx
