Healing My Skin | SOS Serum Vegan Skincare Review

Hi guys I have a new amazing brand I’m excited to share with you. I was recently asked if I would like to try out the SOS Serum range of skincare, which is currently made up of a trio of skincare products (SOS Serum, SOS h20 and SOS spf 50) all development by a chartered scientist.

The whole SOS range of products are cruelty free, vegan, paraben and fragrance free and all around good food for your skin. Each product is suitable for sensitive skin (which I’ll get onto later).

I am forever trying to find products for my sensitive skin ~ this is new thing to me as my skin never used to be this sensitive, only recently, I am not sure if it’s stress related or my skin type has changed, but I have been struggling to find products to work for me, specifically face creams to provide enough hydration for my skin through the day.

Enter SOS skincare, they have the perfect solution in the form of their SOS h2o cream which is just what my skin has been crying out for, it’s like you are giving you skin a much needed soak in a bath and cooling it down at the same time, it feels great and perfect for sensitive skin. The SOS h20 cream contains Hyaluronic acid, which helps keep moisture in the skin, and the silky texture is easily absorbed to leave skin feeling soft and healthy looking.

Fast forward two days and I get an allergic reaction to a product I have used in my bath, worst one I’ve had. The whole bottom half of my face was hot, red and sore to touch, it was awful, I clambered around trying to find something to soothe the pain, using cold water at first but the heat just warmed through the cold flannel, then I remembered I had the SOS Serum, which is the solution to my problem, I naturally panic a lot so I was so glad I had this at hand, it’s a cooling gel like serum which soothes, cools and repairs skin, it’s specifically for sensitive skin and be used to calm eczema, treat minor burns and insect bites and help sooth allergic skin reactions. This is a must have. You need one in your handbag and every room, such an amazing serum and I’m so glad I had it on hand to help me.

SOS also have an spf 50 face and body cream which has active ingredients of soy bean which helps to firm skin and reduce wrinkles ~ which being I can appreciate, The SPF also contains one of my favourite ingredients- Vitamin E to protect skin from damage, Vitamin E also acts as a natural anti inflammatory. I’ve been enjoying using this as part of my daily skincare routine, under my makeup just on it’s own in makeup free days. I love this spf as it is non greasy, doesn’t sit on top of your skin, has no fragrance and calms and soothes skin, it’s the perfect spf for your face and body.

My final thoughts on the SOS range is, simply, I love them, obviously my allergic reaction is a complete random occurrence, but I did get to real test the SOS Serum and it really did work and I’ll be keeping a bottle nearby. I love the h20 cream and how hydrating and long lasting it is and the SPF is a must have in any skincare routine and this one does not disappoint.
