I do love a glowy base – anything glowy and dewy is my vibe, but during summer and recently in general – my skin has been leaning more on the oily side. I’m totally putting this down to my age – pushing nearly 40 now….

I’ve definitely noticed myself reaching for powders a lot more, especially to powder down my T Zone and the areas that I look a bit more ‘sweaty’ I don’t deal well with the heat! And makeup running is not an option or the vibe.

When I received these new Tinted Pressed Finishing Powders from Rare Beauty, I audibly screamed! I was shook. Not only that I received PR from Rare Beauty, but these are the most beautiful powders that Ive ever seen, they are so creamy, so soft and smooth.

all about the blur

I love that the powder blurs skin without making it feel cakey or heavy – these will be perfect for anyone who doesn’t usually use powders but wants to try just to blot down that any excess glow.‹/

Coming in with 14 flexible shades to suit all skin tones, you are going to find a shade to suit. You can use these as a finishing powder, light base, under eye brighter or blotting powder. It is slightly tinted and does add a little bit of coverage. I like to actually use it all over my face as a light foundation and it works really well.

The coverage is light, it covered up a couple of blemishes and using it under my eyes on top of my concealer was just brilliant – it really brightened up that areas. I use the shade Porcelain, but was sent two other shades in Natural and Ivory – Natural is definitely going to be too dark for me, but I think the Ivory could work for me in the summer when I have a slight tan.

I’m absolutely obsessed with the little Soft Touch Powder Puff that came with powders – it is just so cute and is the perfect size for your under eye. I love the colour of it as well, in that iconic beautiful deep burgundy Rare Beauty brand shade.

Using a powder puff is perfect for your under eyes areas, it’s the perfect shape to fit underneath your eyes and get right in there, they also work for all over the face – just a really good way to apply powder and really push it into the skin so it’s going to last all day.

aesthetically pleasing

I love the Rare Beauty aesthetic in general, but these are just so cute – I love the half moon shaped packaging. It’s also really satisfying to hold in your hand. It just feels good and it has a mirror as well. They are just perfect for popping in your handbag – I also received the cutest little powder pouch to pop the powder and puff in. It’s fits them both, perfect. So adorable!!
