I am an absolute Autumn fanatic, I love the colours, the leaves, the smells, the fresh rain and warm cosy nights in, It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Personally I have never been a hot weather kind of gal and really feel more comfortable in jumper, cardigans and big snuggly scarfs. This year I have been living for Autumn, and I love the transition period, I get to sift through all my tops, jumpers, jeans and boots – anyone else find this super fun?
Also I love the change in skincare routine – which means I get to try new products weeee. My skin has gone from an oil slick to the Sahara desert in the space of a few days, so I need to adjust my skincare to include more hydrating moisturisers and oils, as noone likes flaky, dry, dehydrated skin.
I wanted to share with you some of my favourite things abut Autumn and why it is my favourite time of year!
Candles
Candles are the ultimate in cosiness right? I have so many around the flat, and I love to burn them in those cold evenings. I have been loving the Woodland Wick candles which you can find in B&M – they are dupe for the Woodwick candles, and the one I have been loving is Orange and Cinnamon…… is there anything more Autumn feeling than cinnamon! Also I’ve been loving my Blueberry & Fig candle from Roze Mountain, these are handmade candles and the burn time is amazing, I have been loving using this one in the bath on my new bath caddy (best thing ever!!)

Baths
Specifically bubbles baths, this is my favourite thing to do to relax and unwind. I cant remember the last time I didn’t have a bath without bubbles, there’s something just so cosy about bubbles! I just like to shut the door, put on my favourite horror podcasts and chill, sometimes with a glass of vino, because, why not! I’ve been loving my little bath caddy from Dunelm, its amazing! perfect for perching some wine and candles!

Coffee
Is it me or does coffee just seem more appealing in Autumn/Winter? not saying its not any other time of year, as lets face it I am a coffeeholic. but there’s something about the aroma and warm feeling of a coffee which makes me feel super duper happy and cosy. I also love all the Autumn themed flavours that are released this time of year, especially Pumpkin Spice……

Leaves
Need I say more. The colours of the leaves at this time of year is just beautiful, there are so many colours, from red, orange to yellow. I have been loving taking photos of leaves this year. I just cant get enough of them and I will be real sad when they disappear!

New Skincare Routine
So Autumn is definitely rime for an updated skincare routine for me, as my skin is generally quite oily year round, in the colder months it does tend to get dehydrated so I will to use appropriate skincare for this. I find oils are great for this, especially if you use them at night they work deep unto the skin, I have been living for the Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil from Dr Botanicals. its perfect for this transitional period and really great at hydrating skin. What skincare would you recommend for Autumn skin?
