Pinterest can seem like a daunting site when you first start using it, I get it, its a bit of a tricky one to navigate around, but once you have the hang of it you can really reap the benefits and see some incredible growth on your blog/website.
I have some simple Pinterest tips in this post that can help you get started on your blogging and Pinterest journey.
Since taking BossBabeChronicleBlog.com The Ultimate Pinterest Marketing Guide I have started to implement pinterest in every blog post I write, whether its SEO or including my pins in posts, and although blogging tips/money tips always seem to perform better, I am trying to include my beauty posts in this strategy also, as I do not want to loose sight of what my blog is about – Cruelty Free Beauty.

Taking the The Ultimate Pinterest Marketing Guide course has given me a really good understanding of how to use Pinterest for my blog and how to run my Pinterst account the best I can, there are great tips included and a it is a great grounding to start on.
Courses are definitely worth taking if you are completely new to the wonderful world of pinterest.
I do want to be honest and mention that blog views do not come overnight and it can take 3-6 months to see some good growth, but stick at it and learn what works with trail and error, its not easy but it will definitely be worth it in the end.
I have managed to monteize my site with SHEMedia since using Pinterest and my blog views have doubled in the last 6 months, so it does work.

here are my 5 Simple Pinterest Tips
switch to a business account
This is the first thing I did when I started my Pinterest journey, doing this allows you to pin directly from your blog/website and for others, using rich pins pin from your site, which is very useful as readers can then pin directly from your site.
It also adds a trust element to your account, as your website it verified through Pinterest directly.
use canva to design pins
If you are new to pinning and want to learn the ropes, I highly recommend using Canva, not only is it free, it is incredibly easy to use and navigate around. There are tons of pin designs available and you simply need to change the text and photos to create bespoke pins.
There are of course many templates available on Etsy and Creative Market if you would like to be a bit more creative.
I also have some beautiful pin templates for sale on Etsy and these have really helped increase my blog views. Pinterest is a visual site, so it is best to keep the designs simple and eye-catching.

pin 15-30 times daily
It is recommended by many places that it is ideal to pin between 15-30 times a day, now this may seem like alot, but if you have a set up pinterest template you can easily bulk create in a few minutes, once you get the hang of everything you will get quicker.
I have heard that if you pin anymore than the recommended 15-30 your account may be marked as spam.
don’t spam
I have noticed with trial and error – which is how i have learned most things on pinterest, is that they do not like you to post all your pins at once, as this can be classed as spam and your account will be hidden.
This recently happened to me when Pinterest was going through some changes and my website was wrongly marked as spam.
How I noticed this was that I was not getting the view i usually do, if this happens to you, you just need t contact pinterest and they will look into it for you.
It took around 10-14 days for my account to go back to normal after unblocking my website.
desgin bespoke board covers
I have only recently done this and I can say it does neaten up your boards and makes everything more readable for viewers, I used Canva to create my board covers with my brand colours and text.
I would highly recommend doing this for all your pinterest boards as it definitely makes your account look and feel more professional and a great way to add in your personal branding.

Ok. I’ve got a question, I’m currently using the normal account on Pinterest and if I want to switch to a business account, am i going to start a new account or there is a specific way to switch as i dont want to lose my pins and followers.
Hi, you just need to switch and claim your blog/website. You won’t use any of your pins, it just enables you to have access to your analytics.
I’m really trying to utilise Pinterest more as I’ve seen it do wonders for other bloggers! These tips are so helpful, thank you xx
