Wallet Friendly Alternative to GHDs….

I don’t often straighten my hair as I simply don’t have the time & then have to wear my hair up at work anyway, it’s pretty pointless. Sometimes at the weekends, if I’m off out I’ll straighten my mane!

I have always been loyal GHD girl up until recently, I actually sold my last pair of GHDs, which were a limited edition oil slick version, I just didn’t get along with them (since the company had been taken over) they weren’t at all like my original GHDs, these seemed to burn/singe my hair and didn’t straighten it too much,m (I have pretty thick, natural wavy hair).

So to the point, I was looking for an alternative to the famous GHDs and I trawled the internet for reviews and comparisons to GHDs and found that the Remington S3500 Straighteners had been mentioned a few times, so I researched them and found some amazing reviews on Amazon and alot of people comparing them to GHDs and even saying they performed better, so I was sold, they were only £18 including delivery on Amazon, so even if they didn’t live up to the reviews I wouldn’t be loosing out too much.

So I decided to buy them, they arrived boxed with a twist cord cable and even come with a heat pad, which I wasn’t expecting for the price. They have a lock to keep the plates closed, which is a nice little feature. They heat up to 230 degrees in seconds and glide through my hair very easily without pulling/dragging my hair, as some straighteners do, which hurts like hell. 

I am very impressed with these Remington straightners, and for the price they are fantastic. I have to say I do actually prefer them to the GHDs I had and I won’t be going to back to GHDs anytime soon. 

100% recommend trying these out if you are in the market for some new straighteners or even want a back up.
