I was very kindly sent some gorgeous natural makeup to review from the lovely Farah at Fitz & Filly and I have been itching to blog about the brand ever since I received the package in the post.
Over the past week or so I have been having the best time testing all the makeup to review for you all. I was so overwhelmed by the amount of products I was sent, and I am ever so grateful. Such a lovely couple and company to work with!
Fitz & Filly is an Organic, Ethical and Cruelty Free Makeup brand and all of their makeup is ethically sourced and is lovingly handmade in Leeds, UK by the owners, Farah or her husband, this is to ensure that they know exactly what is going into their final product. This ethically minded company has a fantastic range of natural makeup from lipsticks to highlights (my personal favourite).
Why choose Fitz & Filly?
The idea of creating Fitz & Filly was born on the shores of Sri Lanka. It was a hot sunny day to the sound of swirling waves and a gentle breeze.
We realised that we are all becoming more conscious of what we are applying to our bodies everyday. Natural, organic, non-toxic products do exist on the market but they can be costly and difficult to get a hold of.
As a result, we decided to start making natural cosmetics ourselves. We conducted the relevant research and educated ourselves on the subject.
Consequently, we both understand the industry well and have formulated a fantastic range of makeup. We also discovered that making natural cosmetics was rather fun!
From the get go, it was important for us both to ensure quality throughout the entire process. We have not compromised on that at all.
Most of all, making natural cosmetics is what our brand is about. We want to ensure quality product because we should care about what we are using on our skin. As a result, Fitz & Filly have worked hard to deliver exactly that.
Our products are made using only natural ingredients or organic ingredients that have been ethically sourced. We believe in supporting local, smaller businesses and build great relationships with our suppliers.
Therefore, Fitz & Filly promise to deliver only the best product. It will be made by either myself or Jack. And we will ensure that every ingredient is carefully considered before production. Every single one of our natural cosmetics are made with you in mind.
The Eyeshadows
All the eyeshadows come in a plastic pot with a shaker type opening, which you can swivel to close when you are no using, so the shadow doesn't spill everywhere.
Pinot – This is a beautiful dusky purple, I love purples, as I think the colour really goes well with my green/grey eyes. You can build up the colour on this one to make it more dramatic for an evening look, or just sweep on a layer for a cute splash of colour.
Damelfly – An absolutely stunning bright blue with silver sparkles, this is so pretty and very pigmented. I can't wait to try out some funky mermaid looks with this one. Very summery!
Flamenco – A super hot pink, will look so pretty with Damselfly, can make the perfect unicorn/mermaid look with these two shades. This is so pretty just swept onto the lids for a subtle touch of colour, or you can use fixing spray on a brush and pack it on super bright!
Creme Brulee – I love this colour, this one is my favourite and combined with Pinot is a great daytime look for me, this could also be used a highlight, as its light enough for my pale skin. Its a beautiful vanilla glitter shade and perfect for everyday looks or in your inner corner, gives a lovely golden glow.
Cobweb – Gorgeous silver pearly shadow, a staple in any collection and finishes of any look perfectly! Could also use this one as a highlighter aswell, for something a little blinding! Shimma Shimma!

The Lipsticks
I was sent the 6 shades that are available on the website, a lovely selection of bright and interesting shades. They are very moisturising and surprisingly pigmented, even though they are made with completely natural ingredients, which I wasn't expecting, as some other natural lipsticks I have tried in the past have been very dull. You can see from the swatches below how pigmented they are.
Atom Heart – YES! I love this colour, its a bright magenta pink, red, its so pretty, it has great pigmentation and it feels lovely and moisturising on the lips. It also has lavender & peppermint scent…. love it!
Framboise – A super bright purple, this is so stunning, I love purple lipsticks, I need to be brave and wear this one out as it looks lush, it has great pigment, would be great for a night out.
Ruskea – this is my personal favourite, it is a stunning shimmery brown shade, I would say it almost has a duo chrome shift to it, its such a unique shade, but is still very wearable. It also has a lavender and peppermint scent, which is lush!
Scarlett Fever – A very pretty and subtle red toned pink, perfect for everyday wear, a staple in anyone handbag.
Schiaparelli – Hello purple shimmer, I love this shade, it is adorable! its just perfect for summer and festival season, this is a must have shade!
Vixen – A very pretty hot pink, perfect to moisturise your lips whilst giving a pop of colour, this is quite a sheer colour, and you can build up the intensity.

The Blushers
I am a blushaholic and OMG, these blushes, they are insane, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these, the pots are huge, and you only need the smallest amount on your brush to give you a beautiful natural glow, these will last a very long time and well worth investing in. The pigmentation is great and the shimmer is stunning!
Haversham – Hello shimmery cheeks this shade is a beautiful light dusty pink. This blush is quite shimmery, so I think this could be used sparingly as a highlight also… love a dual use product!
Rhubarb Crumble – A beautiful magenta blush, add just the right amount of colour to the cheeks to make you look lightly flushed! love this blush, this is so pigmented, so be careful how much you use! I found out the hard way and ended up looking like coco the clown… :\
Atom Heart – a beautiful bright magenta pink, this one is the most pigmented blush out of the lot, its crazy! It's such a beautiful deep colour, best suited to medium/dark skin tones. The Shimmer on the is blush is so pretty! Perfect for the pinched cheek look.
Sweet Coraline – A sweet peachy coral blush, which is perfect for everyday use, adds a lovely sweet glow to the cheeks, i love this shade, it is my personal favourite, I love anything coral/peach, the shade goes so well with my skintone.

The Bronzers
Golilocks – This is a very natural bronzer, and is a good fit for all skintones. Just perfect for adding a bit of glow to the face. This also has a cinnamon* scent…. yum, so you can not only look good, you can smell good too! This bronzer is Vegan!
Aurelia – This is the mid tone bronzer, and I think I could just about get away with this one, with a light hand, its great for medium skintones, its a beautiful golden colour and perfect for contouring the face and adding that summer glow that we all love!
Tawny – This is the darkest of all the bronzer shades I received, I would have to be very careful to use this one on my face, but I have tried it as an eyeshadow, and it works great. This is the perfect bronzer for medium – dark skintones, it is stunning!
*All of the bronzers have a cinnamon scent 🙂 YUM!

The Highlighters
Aruroa - Highlighting has got to be my favourite part of doing my makeup, and this one definitely doesn't disappoint, it is a bright white highlight, which is perfect for my pale skintone, when applied to the skin it seems to have a beautiful silvery/gold shift to it, and looks stunning dusted on the high points of the face, also on the nose, lips – everywhere, I love highlight haha!
Frosting – This is stunning, a beautiful silver duo chrome esque colour, this is just so gorgeous and creates such a glow and I love this shade so much. Its perfect to dust over your cheekbones and ridge of your nose to highlight the areas the sun touches.
