Hi Loves
So it’s Nearly the end of my week off work, very sad about this. I have just started to get into this lazing around the flat all morning and going out for Pumpkin Lattes at 3pm. I could get used to being a lady of leisure. I suppose all good things have to end. I am super happy that I have managed to take alot of hella good photos and edit them for upcoming posts, which has taken a massive weight off my shoulders.
I’ve seen so many posts lately on the new Bio Essence 24K range – they are all over Instagram and twitter, to be fair it has got to be the the most instagramable product out there, jeez, it has 24K GOLD FLAKES!!!!!….. I have been trying both the 24K Water and the 24K Miracle Finisher Primer out for around 3 weeks now, so feel I can give a good account on how it has worked for my skin. For reference have oily skin.
I was kindly sent these to try from Babushka Communications – who are a super friendly PR company – I have worked with them in the past and they are really one of the good ones!

The Bio Essence 24K Gold Water is a toning water you apply to your skin before moisturising (or even before an additional toner, as it is so gentle). To apply, I personally dab a few drops of this beautiful elixir into my palms, warm up and pat into my skin and neck, I have found this is the best way to apply, you could apply it with a cotton pad, but this would use way more product, and I am all about minimal wastage.
Can we just talk about the gold flakes…. yes gold flakes. I feel so fancy when I am applying this, like yes girl I am definitely applying gold flakes to my face, that’s how I roll….

The water absorbs into skin really quick, leaving it feeling fresh and hydrated. I let my skin sit for a minute or two before applying my moisturiser, as I like to let everything fully sink in before another step. In the 3 weeks I have been using this, I have noticed my skin is alot brighter…. less dull looking, I hope it continues to improve.
The packaging is very sturdy and is finished in a glass bottle, feels very luxurious and expensive. You get 100ml for £16.99. It is available exclusively at Superdrug and they currently having 1/3 off sale on all of the Bio Essence Range, so you can pick this up for a mere £11.29.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Fructose, Urea, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Maltose, Sodium PCA, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lactate, Trehalose, Allantoin, Glucose, Glycerin, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Dextran, Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3, Ecklonia Cava Extract, Hizikia Fusiforme Extract, Codium Tomentosum Extract, Gelidium Cartilagineum Extract, Candida Bombicola/Glucose/Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Carbomer, Parfum (Fragrance) C12-15 Pareth-12, Sodium Oxide, Calcium Oxide, Magnesium Oxide, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Linalool, Limonene, Benzyl salicylate, Hydroxycitronellol, Citronellol, CI 19140, Colloidal Gold
So, I have recently become a little bit of a primer addict, so I just had to try out the 24K Miracle Finisher this feel in between a silicone and lotion primer, it doesn’t dry out your skin, but it also doesn’t leave a tacky feeling some primers tend to, which is great, as I really do not get along with silicone primers, as I have oily skin, it just creates an oil slick effect and my foundations just decides its going to leave my face!
To apply, I use one pump onto my fingertips and apply to my t-zone area, as this is where I tend to become the most oily thought the day. So if you primer your whole face, may you will need 2-3 pumps. After applying, this primer creates a beautiful healthy glow to the skin, it smooths skin, leaving it feeling super soft, whilst creating a mattifying effect. it is great for protection from daily pollutants and is the perfect base for foundation.
My recommendation is to picking this one up…. as soon as you can, you don’t need to use much at all, so this will last a long time. It keeps my makeup in place all day and I do not need to re powder or apply any additional foundation, which is amazing!

Again it is finished in a glass bottle, which you can clearly see the product through, which is always useful. You get 30ml of product for £29.99 – but again is on sale at £19.95 at Superdrug.
