Happy Sunday!
Hope you have all enjoyed your weekend, its typical English weather here, we are in for some flooding on the coast, it’s been so windy and rainy, then sunny again, the weather can’t make up its mind, its crazy!
I wanted to talk about the Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water* today, which I received a couple of month ago direct from Korean brand Wishtrend. I have been trying to use this daily (I’m not used to using prep water in my skincare routine, so I have had to train myself to use it!) but I have really been enjoying testing this out.
Wishtrend values Genuine Beauty
“We explore, select, create, enjoy and share you the best products to help you become beautiful inside & out”
A little bit about The Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water from the Wishtrend website;
“Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is a hydrating and non-irritating exfoliant that can be used daily. Formulated with Mandelic Acid, which can be used without any irritation even on sensitive skin, the Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is an exfoliating treatment that improves the skin tone and texture while boosting the effectiveness of other products”.
I have been using the Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water after washing/cleansing my face in the shower, you can either pat the water into your skin with a cotton pad for light exfoliation, or for a deeper exfoliation, use a cotton pad and wipe over your face – this is how I have been using it, and find it works great, it removes any leftover nasties from cleansing, and leaves you face super duper soft, smooth and feeling very clean, I find after using this my skin is a little tacky, so I tend to wait a few minutes before toning and moisturising.
As this water contains Mandelic Acid (only in a small amount) it is advised for people with sensitive skin to use this only 2-3 times a week, it’s also advised to apply a sunscreen after using this product to protect the face from harmful UV rays. I have read a few reviews stating that this has irritated some peoples skin – making it red and blotchy, or has been stinging after applying, I haven’t found this myself, I am able to use this daily without any ill effects, but I’d advise if this does sting when you use it (due to the Mandelic Acid) to use only at night-time. Mandelic Acid has very good anti-aging properties, which is great, as I am now the other side of 30, so need any help I can get in that department., Mandelic Acid also has great anti-inflammatory properties which is perfect for keeping those blemishes and acne at bay.
I’d really recommend trying this if you have more mature skin, and possibly if you don’t have sensitive skin due to reviews I have read. I have been really loving it and will continue using it in my skincare routine, as I have noticed a big difference in my skin’s texture since using.
You get 120ml of product for $22, this will last a while, as you don’t need to use too much, and the bottle is good at dispensing small amounts.
You can buy this direct from Wishtrend
