The benefits of Lavender Oil

I am an absolute essential oil addict, I am firm believer that they can and do help with relaxation and cleansing the mind/body. My current favourite oils to burn in my oil burner are ylang ylang and Lavender.

I am obsessed with anything lavender, I find it the most relaxing scent. I have lavender scented pillow sprays, incense, facial sprays, oils, bath oils and body lotions. Obsessed! I’ve recently been gifted a Lavender Oil, which can be used for skin, hair and body.

The Lavender oil I received is from Grace & Stella, who sell a multitude of natural goodies, the oil comes in a glass bottle, which is a huge 120ml with a pipette, this oil will last me months, as you only need a few drops each use. The bottle is priced at £12.99 on Amazon and Grace & Stella’s webstore.

Benefits of Lavender Oil

1. Mix into some unscented moisturiser and use as a day or night cream

2. Use an essential burning oil before bed to help relax and unwind

3. Add to 2-3 drops of oil to your regular shampoo/conditioner, it helps to promote hair growth and leave hair extra shiny and fragrant

4. Use on the face (diluted, or small amounts) to problems areas, due to the anti inflammatory properties of lavender oil it helps to smooth dry skin and eczema

5. Use as a body oil

6. Add with rose water to create a hydrating facial spritz

7. Use 2-3 drops as a leave in hair treatment, which will help heal split ends

8. Create a relaxing pillow spray with lavender oil, ylang ylang, bergamot and rose water

9. Rub 2-3 drops on into your temples, neck and head to help relieve any tension or headaches

10. Dab some oil into acne or problems areas to help heal, lavender oil has septic properties to help fight off acne
