Hi Loves
Hope you are all doing well and enjoying this beautiful weather, its stunning at the moment, the leaves are just starting to turn orange – favourite time of the year, love getting all the cosy jumpers out.
I’ve been trying my hand at contouring a bit more these days, as I really think it can change your face shape and carve out cheekbones. I’m quite lucky in that I do have quite defined cheekbones, so contouring enhances these even more, which is always a good thing!….. I am by no means an expert on contouring and I have watched alot of videos on ways to do it, some seem way over the top, I would never be one of those girls who puts dots or stripes all over their face, its just too much for me, I like a more subtle and natural look. Not saying the way these girls do it is wrong, you do you and what makes you feel good, just its not for me.
I was very kindly sent the Filmstar Bronze & Glow* palette in Light/Medium from Charlotte Tilbury to try and let me tell you I nearly cried with delight when I received this PR package in the post, I never thought a brand as huge and famous as Charlotte Tilbury would even consider collaborating with little old me.
What Charlotte says;
Darlings, I’m sharing the secret that silver screen sirens have kept to themselves for years! My ORIGINAL FILMSTAR BRONZE & GLOW contour palette will help you slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features for fabulous red carpet ready facial framework. Maximise your assets with award-winning showstopping style! This shade is perfect for fair to medium skin tones for buildable, subtle coverage.

This palette is a cult favourite, and for good reason, not only is the gold packaging luxurious as hell, the powders are so finely milled and soft, that it makes blending a dream, the palette I received is light/medium and the contour shade is a perfect cool toned brown, which is fantastic for pale skin, it perfectly enhances your cheekbones and the contours of your faces, such as temples, forehead and jawbone.
The highlight shade is a natural champagne shade, which looks gorgeous on the high points of your face, it really reflects in the light. It doesn’t contains any chunky glitters and glides onto the skin giving a stunning glow from within look.
I have been using this palette for my daily makeup for work and it is so quick and easy to use, I use a Spectrum angled brush to apply my contour shade and then lightly blend, it looks so natural and if even beginners like myself can use it, anyone can. I really recommend trying this palette out, its the best I have tried and it is so deserved of its cult status >>> there is also a medium/dark palette available for darker skintones.
