So, your beautiful roses are starting to wilt and petals to fall off – dang right? Have you ever thought about what you can actually use these beautiful petals for after they have dropped? It’s amazing what you can use them for and today I’ll be sharing with you 5 ways to use rose petals. This is a fantastic way to avoid unnecessary waste, I am very aware of the waste humans produce and if I can do anything to reuse or use every last drop of, I will try it, I loved discovering these little tips to share with you guys.
Rose water Mist ~ I am a huge fan of anything rose scented and face mists, find they really give that refreshed feeling, i keep a few in the fridge for when i am feeling a little tired. To make your own rose water mix;
- Boil water in a pan before adding a handful of dried rose petals and let the water simmer until the petals lose their colour.
- Then turn the heat off and let the water completely cool before pouring it through a sieve into a spritzer bottle.
- Store it in the fridge and it will last for a month Easy peezy
Bathe in Petals ~ relax in luxury, I absolutely love doing this, it’s such a lovely idea, and so relaxing. Lots of bubble bath and rose petals with your favourite podcast on, sounds like perfection, right?
Scatter them on the bed ~ for the Romanic in you, why not scatter them on the bed for a sensual surprise for your other half.
Add fragrance to your drawers ~ adding rose petals to your drawers will leave your clothes with a smelling fresh with a gorgeous natural fragrance
Pressed Roses ~ this is such a cute idea; you can press them into greeting cards or even place them in a glass photo frame for an elegant look.
