I’ve been swatting up on some natural ways I can promote the growth of my eyebrows and eyelashes. As mentioned in my recent Lashfactor Eyelash & Eyebrow Serum Realness post I was so deep in the 90’s trend of thin/almost non existent eyebrows that they have never really recovered from the ordeal.
At the moment I am testing out a few eyebrow growth products, as I no longer want to look like a potato when I have no brows on!
What I discovered from my research is that castor oil & its properties seems a great choice for ALOT of beauty reasons and not just for lashes and brows!
I have been using Castor oil on and off over the last 2 years and I have really noticed a difference in my brows since adding it to my routine more regularaly and I swear by it these days. It’s a great natural oil which has multiple uses.
How I use Castor oil
The way I use the oil is how I have found best, but here are other ways. I used a clean mascara wand (you can buy them on eBay) and just brush the oil through my eyebrows and eyelashes, be warned it does have the consistency of honey, which I didn’t realise before I tried it and got into a sticky mess. I use the oil at night after my cleaning routine, I also try and rub a small amount around my eyes as it can supposedly make you look more awake/brighten undereyes (which is always a good thing!).

I brought my Naissance Cold Pressed Castor Oil 100ml bottle from Amazon for £4.49 (and free Prime next day delivery).
Here are my favourite 10 uses for Castor Oil
- Nourishes Dry Skin
- Reduced Wrinkles
- Promotes Hair Growth
- Thicken Eyebrows and Eyelashes
- Prevents Stretch Marks
- Softens Calluses
- Treat Brittle/Cracked Nails
- Heals Chapped Lips
- Repairs Hair Split End
- Soothes Sunburn

My Thoughts
So there we have it, seems pretty much like miracle oil & general all rounder right? It’s properties are similar to coconut oil, which I also swear by! Looks like the 250ml bottle is going to last forever too, as you only ever need a small amount! it is of course Vegan and Cruelty free.
