Best of Beauty 2017 | Skincare and Hair

Hi loves, welcome to my second instalment of my best of beauty 2017 – today i’ll be talking about my favourite Skincare and hair products. Skincare has been a massive part of 2017 for me, I never used to use any creams or oils on my skin, but this year I have been trying so many and i find that my skin has really improved since using various skincare products.

Sukin Super Greens Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser

I am obsessed with Sukin products. OBSESSED, I have this super hydrating moisturiser this on my vanity since I received it a few months ago. I love that it has a pump, as it’s just so easy to pop on in the morning and evening, as you can use this for day or night. The cream is lightweight on the skin and absorbs very quick.

All Sukinproducts are natural, vegan and cruelty free, they are handmade in Australia, and they offer a huge range of products for every skin type. you can buy this at Boots for £9.95 for 125ml.

DHC Cleansing Oil

I am literally obsessed with this cleansing oil. I previously had a 50ml sample size of this before receiving the larger 200ml bottle for Christmas. To use this, at first I wasn’t keen on rubbing oil directly onto my face, with makeup on, but once I had used it for a week or so, i am all about it. I can’t sing this products praises enough – if you buy any skincare products, please make it this one. The oil melts makeup, even the stubbornest of mascaras. All you need to do is rub into skin for 20-30 seconds and wash off with warm water and voila, no makeup and cleansed skin, so quick and easy. You can buy the 200ml bottle for £20 at the moment on the DHC website, its usually £24

Key ingredients + benefits:

  • Olive oil: Rich in antioxidants, it helps fight damage caused by free radicals without clogging pores.
  • Rosemary leaf oil: Extracted from the leaves of the plant, it contains invigorating properties and imparts a refreshing scent.

Formulated without:

  • Added fragrance
  • Colorants
  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Mineral oil

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Curl & Style Milk

First things first, yes this does smell as amazing as it sounds, eurgh, I am a sucker for anything coconut scented. I go through phases of using leave in products, as I find some do tend to leave my hair a little greasy. I did not have that problem with this product, it is super lightweight and really leaves my hair very soft and manageable.

To use this, apply to damp, towel dried hair, you can either leave your hair to naturally dry or as this does have styling properties you can use it as a styling milk to enhance curls further with heat.

The Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Curl & Style Milk is made for dry, damaged curly hair, which is in need of smoothing and hydrating, I personally do not have thick curly hair, but i love to use this anyway, as its so quick and easy to use if i want to leave my hair to air dry, it does enhance my natural waves if I scrunch my hair a little. You can buy the 254ml bottle from Superdrug for £10.99 and this amount will last ages, as you dont need to use too much product.

SheaMoisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Style Milk is a leave-in moisturiser and hair treatment product that gives you soft, shiny, natural, bouncy, frizz-free curls that will tempt you to flaunt your hair every chance you get!

Charles Worthington Salon at Home – Strength & Repair Shampoo

I received the Strength & Repair Shampoo a few months ago in a PR package and have only just gotten around to trying it out. What an amazing shampoo, i have very thick, long and slightly wavy hair, and i only need a small palm full of shampoo, I have never used a shampoo as thick and creamy as this one. When I am in a rush and i don’t have time for conditioner I can get away with it, as this is so moisturising.

Its so hard to find a shampoo like this, especially for my hair type, which tends to tangle like crazy, this does a great job of detangling and leaving my hair soft and manageable all day due to the infused Argan Oil in the shampoo. You can pick this 200ml bottle up from boots for £5.99.
